All Aboard The Polar Express!
While dad stayed home with some bonding time with the older boys, just the two littles and I went to stay at Nana + Papa’s for a cozy sleepover and to surprised them with riding The Polar Express to The North Pole! If you know Owen, then you know that this is one of his absolute obsessive dreams. We sing the songs and watch the movie all year long and the inspiration and magical perspective never gets old.
We can’t tell O that we are going anywhere until we are literally on the way there because he will ask every 15 seconds ‘when we going? where we going?’ Owen had no idea where we were going until the train picked us up since he doesn’t understand our certain conversations and cannot read (in my mind this innocence made it even more magical) and sissy made it such a fun experience for him being by his side and being just the sweetest toward him and helping him throughout the night.
He knows every single word to this movie you guys. Every thing down to the ‘All aboard!” from the conductors, to the ‘kids on the train’ and the scenes of the elves working at The North Pole, he knew what to look for when and was expecting it ALL. He was a little upset in his mind when he figured out that the little boy in the blue robe wouldn’t be there and the same children riding the train in the movie, but we got through it. We’ll have to get him a blue coat to wear for next year to make it that much more special for him!
We danced and played and snuggled, drank all the hot chocolate, ate Christmas cookies, saw Santa, saw some amazing Christmas lights and made memories. This was such a fun little, festive weekend!

That's all I want when Christmas comes to town
Once we got back from The North Pole, we stopped by Papa’s office to see his train all setup from the Christmas walk downtown and then headed home to get into our cozy jammies and settled down for the night.
We took some fun photos while everyone was still happy and then Owen read some books and sister fell asleep by the fire.
