Baby Lyon: Gender Reveal!
Now that time is passing quickly, we are already into the third trimester and we have had a lot of questions, I thought that we should share some gender reveal news with you all! We are not having a party, we are not doing a photoshoot, we are not playing any games, etc. We are excited to announce that ….
BABY LYON IS A………
You heard it right, it’s a surprise!
We’re not telling because, well, we don’t know what the gender is either! Ahhh! Sorry to break it to you in this way if you are family and friends anxious to find out… believe me, you are not the only one in this house that is having a hard time holding it together! cough Sister Paisley cough And honestly, the closer that it gets, the more anxious we are getting to be as parents too.
Yes, we may be crazy to you for choosing to wait.
Although I don’t think we are…
We have four children in this house together, Randy has three boys and a girl and I have a boy. I’m such a gender neutral person when it comes to decorating, clothing and other items, so finding out the gneder for the only reason of decorating the baby’s space and clothing items for me is unnecessary.
We both chose for this babe to be a surprise because honestly, there are very few surprises in life that you can truly enjoy and this is absolutely one of those moments. I craved this moment with my first and didn’t get that chance and I cannot WAIT for that moment when my midwife / doctor holds up this blessing into the air facing me and says, ‘It’s a…..!’ Gah. Tearing up already just thinking about that.
Fun fact: when Ran and I first met and we started talking about future things, I literally asked him if we ever chose to have a child together, would he be okay with this scenerio. To my surprise, he said ‘absolutely’ and the rest is history hahaha.
We’ve done all of the fun tests, which I don’t really believe in fully, only because Owen was supposed to be ‘a girl’ due to those and he clearly is not, ha. But it’s been fun to do them with the kids and other family and watch everyone get all hyped up! At the end of the day, we really don’t mind at all. We knew that this baby was chosen for our family for a reason and we are ready for all of the adventures that it will bring us.
We are praying for it’s health, a successful and healthy birth process and seriously craving to see what babe looks like as well as the precious little moments that will be added to our family’s dynamic of having all ages of children.
So, thanks for being here with us in our journey. It will be such a fun birthday when this babe decides to arrive earthside!
